Japan Beetle are Harmful To Plants
Scientific Name: Popillia japonica
Nickname: Japanese Beetle 
Appearance/Size: Adults are 3/8-1/2 inch (8-10 mm) long, metallic greenish bronze with coppery red wings. Larvae are “C”-shaped, cream-colored white grubs with brown heads that reach 3/4 – 1 inch (20-25 mm) long. 
Prefered Habitat:Since the adult Japanese Beetle lives mostly during the summer months, and larvae are able to overwinter, this allows them to survive and adapt to many different climates. 
Reproduction:Grubs overwinter 8-10 inches (20-25 cm) deep in the soil. As spring temperatures increase, the grubs move up in the soil to feed on grass and other small roots. Adults live from 30 to 45 days. 
Eat: Mainly roses, grapes, , beans, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, grapes, hops, cherries, plums, pears, peaches, berries, corn, peas, and many more. They feed on the foliage of the plant, eating the material in between veins.
