Leafminer Parasite Warm Benefits Plants
Scientific Name: Dacnusa sibirica 
Appearance/Size: Greenish Black bodied, winged. Resemble mini-wasps that reach 3 mm in length.
Prefered Habitat:Optimum performance will be 75-95° F with a humidity of around 50%. Please note, however, significantly cooler or warmer temps and humidity fluctuations may hamper reproduction and development a certain degree. 
Reproduction:Laying eggs directly into the larvae of leafminers. And they can lay up to 72 eggs, killing a like number of the larvae. The parasitoid Dacnusa siberica emerges to begin the cycle all over again. 
Eat: These beneficial mini wasps combat leafminers in cooler climates. 500-1,000/acre every 2 weeks, 2-3 releases. Side Notes:They can establish themselves in nearly any situation.
